OUR CORE PURPOSE

Alleviate Poverty & Improve Food Security

As stated in our Constitution (Clause 5.1), the main object of Grow Africa Futures is “To Alleviate Poverty and Improve Food Security” across rural Africa. We are formally registered under the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act, 1990, with our Registered Office in Nairobi, Kenya.

Legal registration: Compliant with Kenyan NGO regulations, committed to transparency and accountability.

Non-profit status: No income or property is distributed to members (Clause 10). All resources go directly to our mission.

What We Do

Our constitution outlines clear, measurable objectives to drive real change.

Training & Capacity Building

Provide young farmers with sustainable farming practices and agribusiness management skills.

Create Employment

Generate at least 700 indirect employment opportunities per year in rural communities.

Increase Youth Participation

Boost youth involvement in agricultural food systems by an average of 5% annually in Kenya.

Advocacy & Partnerships

Engage Parliament, government bodies, and private sector to promote agricultural transformation.

Fundraising for Impact

Secure and utilize funds to achieve all organizational objects efficiently and ethically.

Sustainable Systems

Promote eco-friendly practices, climate resilience, and long-term food security.

Governance & Accountability

We operate with integrity, oversight, and legal compliance.

Board of Directors

Minimum 5, maximum 9 members including Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer. Elected for 3-year terms (renewable once, max 6 years).

Annual General Meeting

Held every year with 30 days' notice. Members vote on key decisions, elect leadership, and approve audited financials.

Audited Accounts

Independent registered auditor appointed at each AGM. Financial records open for inspection by members and regulators.

No Personal Gain

Directors and members receive no remuneration except reimbursement of expenses. Surplus assets on dissolution go to similar non-profit organizations (Clause 19).
