Grow Africa Futures Team | Etakala, Narok County

Grow Africa Futures continues to work closely with farming communities to promote sustainable agriculture and strengthen farmers’ capacity to adopt practices that support healthy soils, productive farms, and resilient livelihoods.

At Etakala in Narok County, our team engaged farmers in practical learning on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), with a particular focus on organic and environmentally friendly farming approaches.

During the field engagement, farmers were introduced to practical ways of improving soil health and maintaining farm productivity while reducing dependence on harmful agricultural inputs. The session emphasized the importance of using locally available organic materials, proper soil management, responsible use of farm inputs, and sustainable farming techniques.

The hands-on approach allowed farmers to share their experiences, ask questions, and discuss some of the challenges they encounter in their daily farming activities. By combining local knowledge with practical agricultural information, the engagement encouraged farmers to explore approaches that can be adapted to their own farms.

Building Sustainable Farming Communities

Organic farming and other good agricultural practices can contribute to healthier soils, improved farm ecosystems, and more sustainable food production. At Grow Africa Futures, we believe that empowering farmers with practical knowledge is an important step toward building stronger and more resilient agricultural communities.

Our engagement at Etakala reflects our commitment to working alongside farmers, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and supporting communities to develop solutions that can improve their livelihoods while protecting the environment.

We look forward to continuing these engagements and reaching more farming communities across Kenya.
