OUR MISSION

Transforming Agriculture, Empowering Youth

Grow Africa Futures is a youth-centered agricultural development organization dedicated to advancing sustainable agricultural transformation across Africa. We address persistent challenges—including low productivity, weak market integration, climate risks, and post-harvest losses—by building the capacity of youth and farming communities to engage in profitable, innovative, and environmentally responsible agribusiness.

Market-Driven

The Challenge We Address

  • Low Productivity: Smallholder farmers face declining soil fertility and limited access to modern inputs.
  • Youth Unemployment: 75% of Kenya's population is under 35, yet agriculture is seen as a last resort.
  • Post-Harvest Losses: Over 30% of food produced is lost before reaching consumers.
  • Climate Change: Rising temperatures and erratic rainfall threaten rural livelihoods.

Our solution: An integrated ecosystem approach supporting youth across the entire agricultural value chain.

Our Founding Story

Founded in July 2023 by Angelas Edward and Fred Wambua, Grow Africa Futures was established to bridge the gap between Africa's rapidly growing youth population and the untapped economic opportunities within the agricultural ecosystem.

The founders sought to challenge the perception of agriculture as low-income and labor-intensive, repositioning it as a dynamic sector encompassing entrepreneurship, technology, logistics, value addition, and trade.

Today, we've impacted over 5,000 farmers, launched 200+ agribusiness startups, and built a network of partners committed to transforming Africa's agricultural future.

Our Vision: A prosperous Africa where empowered youth drive agricultural transformation through innovation, sustainable enterprise, and environmental stewardship.
